I don't have a favorite Christmas book from my childhood, but I always loved the Pokey Little Puppy!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday book is The Velveteen Rabbit. I hope my girls will enjoy this story as much as I did.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many. I like to give Baby's Christmas Golden Book for a first Christmas. Another favorite is Santa's Favorite Story by Hisao Aoki.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite was always watching KTUL channel 8 on Christmas eve when they would recite the night before Christmas!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite was How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr Seuss.
ReplyDeleteI didn't have a Christmas book. Mom always bought me books which could be read "all year long". My absolute worn out book was the collection of fairy tale classics such as The Little Mermaid, The Princess and the Pea, etc. Such good memories of curling in for the tales.
ReplyDelete"'Twas the Night Before Christmas" is my favorite Christmas book growing up. My siblings and I would pile onto our parents bed during the Christmas holidays on the weekends to sing Christmas carols and read this story. I can still recite it from memory and do for my little ones.
ReplyDeleteI have several Christmas books that I love including "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and "A Christmas Story", but my favorite Christmas book was a collection of Christmas songs. I absolutely love Christmas music and so enjoyed singing songs from that book.
